We hosted a full programme of hockey and football v Eton and Tonbridge respectively, even fielding some extra games "at home" due to waterlogged pitches at Eton College. The conditions were far from ideal as melting snow and 42mm of rain this month have left our grass pitches in a soggy state with water standing on some of the pitches. At least we made a start to the season after the first weekend's fixtures were cancelled due to snow covered pitches.

 

I am hoping that the rain will hold off as much as possible next week in order to carry out some much needed maintenance on the pitches.
