Snow all but gone....more on the way?

It is a crisp Sunday morning and the sun is shining brightly. After 8mm of rain yesterday, mostly falling after dark, and temperatures up to 8C the snow has gone apart from where it has been pushed into heaps during the snow-clearing process....and of course the sad looking remains of snowmen and igloos.
Next week we need to knuckle down to try and get the pitches ready for the pupils to practice on. We were hampered by the deep snow and still need to finish erecting goals, dig in stanchions, position portable goals and attach nets to all the football goals as well as re-mark all the pitches which have been lying under the snow on and off since before Christmas.
I haven't had a chance to inspect the grounds yet but with 27cm of melted snow and 8mm of rain on top I would think they are rather soggy. So the next problem may be waterlogging.
On top of it all the Met Office have put out an advisory for heavy wet snow on Wednesday. Oh dear!
