Monday will be dry with sunny spells, and it will be quite warm with temperatures into the low seventies. Tuesday and Wednesday things really begin to warm up again across many areas as high pressure builds close to south-eastern Britain, feeding in warm continental air. Many parts will turn fine and very warm for a time with temperatures pushing 30C. However, Atlantic weather systems will soon be trying to move in, and will gradually edge across much of Britain and Ireland during the midweek period bringing heavy rain and possible thunder - although it may be late Thursday or Friday before the southeast sees a change to cooler conditions.
