Much needed rain fell at the start of the week after 25 days without rain. 7.7mm fell on Monday, another 7.2mm on Tuesday and 1.3mm early hours of Wednesday morning. The rest of the week was pleasantly warm with sunny spells and nothing like the roasting we had the previous week!

Rain affected the first home OW cricket fixture on Tuesday with the match abandoned after some 40 minutes of play. The rest of the OW Cricket week has been good with some excellent cricket being played on Turf 1.  Unfortunately, the pitch on Derby A became too wet for a match between Edgbarrow School and Sandhurst School on Wednesday. Berkshire U14's enjoyed a match on a covered pitch on New Ground.

Things could be a little tricky at the weekend with rain crossing from the West during Saturday and Sunday.
