Cricket nets come down as temperature soars to 31C!

The artificial cricket nets nearest the Pink Pavilion were rolled up today as they are no longer needed for the remainder of the cricket season.
 
Cricket pitch preparation continues and pitch end repairs carried out. Grass cutting has all but ceased as 17 days without any measurable rain and baking temperatures take it's toll on the grass.
 
Plenty of water consumed today as the groundstaff worked in temperatures reaching 31C by mid afternoon.
