The heavy rain and thunder that was forecast didn't materialise in our area. It moved North from France then carried on North East to cover Kent and Essex missing us almost completely. We had 2.1mm of rain very first thing this morning and any beneficial effect of that on the ground was soon altered by a gusty wind and sunny spells drying the ground very quickly.
