We had light rain and drizzle from about 7:00am to midday in showers with a heavy burst at midday which turned to hail. It also felt cold in a strong south westerley wind.

 

Not an ideal day for preparing cricket pitches for matches at the weekend or for mowing the cricket outfields. However the sun did shine after lunch before more cumulonimbus clouds bubbled up and with the wind the ground dried very quickly. It felt pleasantly warm when the sun shone.

 

A nice sunny evening to end the day too.
