After a week of snow covered ground then persistent rain it was a relief to see some blue sky and sunshine.....and grass!

 

The pitches were awash with water but as the day progressed there were encouraging signs that the pitches were starting to drain well. I just hope the freezing night time temperatures and cold days ahead doesn't lock the water in the soil and hamper the draining process.
