What a quick turn around!

The Wellington College International Rugby Festival was a great success and we look forward to hosting the event again in 2011.
It did involve a lot of extra work during our busiest time of year but as it was such a well organised and well disciplined event it made it easier for us to cope.

On Friday, because they were playing the final rugby matches on just 2 pitches, it enabled us to dismantle and store 1 match pitch set of posts and 2 sets of practice pitch posts. We also initial marked 5 cricket boundaries on Derby field.

On Monday it was all hands to the deck to dismantle & store the 2 sets of 50ft rugby posts and the remaining set off the practice pitch.

Today it was really mad with 4 of my 6 person team doing as best as they could to prepare cricket pitches for matches on Friday on Turf & New Ground and preparing 7 other cricket squares for practice and matches next week, the start of term.

Two rounders pitches were initial marked on Bigside today.

So thanks to the recent spell of dry weather we should be ready for the start of term.
