We are facing a challenging time at the moment. Rolling cricket squares has ceased for 6 days due to wet weather.
All the football goals were dismantled and stored on the last day of term as were the lacrosse goals.
We have made some progress towards the forthcoming International Rugby Festival by initial marking 2 out of 3 of the match pitches and 2 out of 3 of the practice pitches. Wet weather has prevented us making any further progress at the moment. We should, barring torrential downpours have the other pitches marked by the end of the day on Thursday. I just hope that we don't get too much more rain as there is the danger the lines will get washed away. All the rugby posts are in-situ bar one set which will be erected by the end of play today or tomorrow.
All the divider net wires and nets have now been installed on the two artificial hockey pitches but club bookings for football are preventing us from marking the 12 tennis courts until after Easter.
All the netball posts have been stored and tennis posts and nets have been installed on the 7 hard porous courts.
The cricket practice netting has been erected on the grass practice nets by the Kilometre. Much work is needed on the nets before they are fit for use and the weather needs to improve a lot as well but, as we cannot roll, we thought it would be a good use of time to get the nets erected anyway.
There is still a lot to do before the start of the Summer term and with a week of International Rugby and a poor weather forecast there are still challenging times ahead!
